ReplyDelete2. He's in 12 months for top and bottom currently, size 3 for shoes. I prefer to buy his clothes and he has more shoes than I do!
3. No specific author that we have a lot of. I don't care for Dr.Seuss. I like all of his books to have some kind of purposeful moral to them. We don't have many popular books, just The Giving Tree, The Hungry Caterpillar, and The Night Before Christmas, really.
4. He loves anything that makes noise or moves on it's own. His favorite t.v. show stands to be Yo Gabba Gabba.
5. Nothing under $25 that I know of. My mom is buying him a toy box, all else will be a surprise!

3. We don't have a lot of Eve Bunting. We could use a Madeline book or two...the fact that she has absolutely none is mind boggling on so many levels.
4. She loves her Jellycat bunny, and would surely live the Jellycat books. We are fans of Hello Kitty over here as well. She doesn't watch t.v. and I don't care for "character" stuff really. Dora and the like nauseate me. She loves music and instrument toys, wooden toys, things she can bang (drums) etc.
5. All I know is what we are getting her, which is a mini piano.
6. H loves hockey (leafs). We like going on picnics, going to the park, sailing, going to the beach.

Do NOT like Sandra Boynton; LOVE Dr. Seuss but don't have many of his books. We don't own Goodnight Moon or I Love You Forever.

He likes Dinosaur Train, Sid the Science Kid, and Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That. His favorite stuffed animal is an ocelot, and he loves his lego duplos, stacking rings, and gears. He likes banging things together to hear the sounds it makes.

DH and I would like to get him either a water table, sit-on car toy, or baby drum set. I imagine his great aunts, uncles, and cousins will get him TONS of toys and clothes.

ReplyDelete2. We have enough "summer clothes" so putting the next size for Fall/Winter clothes for her which we have none... tops: 18-24 bottoms: 12-18 or 18-24 depends on brand shoes: in size 4 now, 5 for fall?
3. She love her Llama Llama books. We have Wakey Wake and Nighty Night. She is also a huge fan of peek a boo books. We have one for Easter/Christmas and nose ears and eyes. Don't really have to many books.
4. She love Pocoyo, she has a stuffed one and loves watching the tv show. She loves things that plays music and things that rattle/make nose when shaken. The leapfrog Violet dog is a favorite because of the songs she sings. We don't really have many bath toys.

3. We don't have a lot of popular books. I'd love to get some Sandra Boynton books as we have none. We don't have the most popular Eric Carle books and only have Dr. Suess' "One Fish, Two Fish...".
4. We don't have cartoon channels so no fav shows. Sidney loves toys that are cause and effect especially musical toys like pianos. He loves his FP seahorse. I have gotten several Little People sets and he loves those! DH would love him to have a Halloween LP set b/c that's his favourite holiday. LOL
5. We are getting his a water table but do not know of any other gifts coming his way.

2. Tops: will be 12 months soon. Bottoms: 6-9 months. Shoes: 3 ..I like to dress him like a tiny person, not necessarily baby-ish clothes.
3. We've got the basics (Goodnight Moon, Love You Forever, Where the Wild Things Are, etc). I don't like Sandra Boynton.
4. Cam is mesmerized by Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He also loves cats (specifically our orange tabby) and things that light up. I also plan on forcing him to like Yo Gabba Gabba..so far he doesn't care either way. Oh, he likes kicking things a lot.
5. I think his aunt is getting him a water table and a friend of ours is probably giving us her sons old books.
6. We are very much into sports...specifically the Carolina Panthers and Duke Blue Devils. Cam is really into swimming in his baby pool. We spend a lot of time in our backyard and with friends doing cook-outs, tailgating, etc.

2. Just getting into 12 month clothes but we have enough for the summer. The grandmothers got into a bit of a shopping competition so we are well taken care of for the summer. Shoes are 3 I think but he isn't into them.

3. We have SO many but always like more! She likes Boynton books and LOVES touch and feel books or soft books that she can turn the pages without help.
4. No TV shows here and she doesn't have favorite characters. She does like plush toys a lot, and loves any toy that plays music when she pushes a button/squeezes it/etc. When we go to our local play place, she likes to play with blocks but we do not have any yet. We also don't have any bath toys, but I know for sure she would play with them!
5. Our families will probably deposit money into her savings account instead of buying gifts. (They are very practical people!)
6. We like to travel and take Charlotte to try new things (zoo, aquarium, children's museum, etc.) My husband loves to take Charlotte on hikes in the backpack carrier. She also seems to be part fish, so we play in the water and go to the pool a lot.

3. Any board books are great. We don't have any Boynton. She loves any Sesame Street Books (which we have Tummies & So Big) and she likes the Usborne touch & feel books (We only own, "That's not my Puppy"). We have tons of nighttime themed books.
4. Mickey Mouse is a favorite. She is really into her books lately. Most of the time Natalie will pick books over toys. We don't really do the "princess" thing over here.

ReplyDelete1. My name is Candace/Cheerilee. DD's name is Avery. She was born September 1.
2. Currently, she's in 9 months clothing. She'll be in 12 months by August. She LOVES clothes. Purple looks great on her! We have some of the 12 month basics like onesies, pants, shorts... Frilly stuff is always welcome! We see that as a splurge so we tend to only buy girly frilly stuff for special occasions. She's in size 3 shoes in Stride Rite. She hates wearing shoes right now, though. Who knows what size she'll be in by August...
3. We have 5-6 girly books for DD from the book exchange. That's it. I've been slacking and letting her destroy her brother's books! We don't have many "classic" books other than The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Goodnight Moon, Cat in the Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Brown Bear Brown Bear... DSS's collection centers around trucks and dinosaurs.
4. Elmo is her favorite thing ever. Elmo and that little dog at Walmart that you can push his hands, feet, nose, ear and it plays different songs or teaches things. She has DSS's old one but it's starting to die and make the creepy dying noises... She also loves mirrors! She's all girl ;) I also tend to lean towards learning toys. We'll be getting her stacking rings and the large block with different activities on each side in the next month.
5. I have no idea what family will get her. My mom is very random about things. My grandparents usually take DSS to Toys R Us for his birthday to pick something. DH's family sends money. We'll probably get her a single, big gift.
6. We love to travel and try new things. Our travel centers around places we can drive to. We'll be visiting California a few times in the next year to go to the beach and Disney. DH likes the Kansas City Royals. I like the St. Louis Cardinals.

She wears 9-12 month clothes and size 3 shoes! Have plenty of clothes for her, grandma made sure of that.
The only popular book we have is Goodnight Moon. I try to buy her books with beautiful pictures mostly.
We own Violet but that's it for specific characters or themes, really. She loves music so all of her stuffed toys that play songs are her favorite. She loves to dance!
Just big stuff!
As far as sports we like the Saints and Bruins. Family hobbies are camping and cooking. We do a lot of artsy projects together, too.

He is moving into 18-24 months. He is cloth diapered with big thighs and hips so we tend to avoid regular twill or denim bottoms. Stretchy bottoms and overalls are usually a good fit, as well as one piece outfits. Shoes...he's a 5ww, so don't bother, lol! We've already wasted enough of our own $$$, I'd hate for someone else to waste theirs too! We don't really NEED anything, but if you find something cool, he'd love it!
3. What authors' books do you have a lot of? Any that you don't care for? Any popular books you DON'T have? We have a lot of Dr. Seuss but we are missing The Lorax, The Cat in the Hat, Horton Hears a Who. We have a few Eric Carle Books...The Very Hungry Caterpillar (which will be his party theme, The Very Busy Spider, and Brown Bear. Sandra Boynton books we have are The Going to Bed Book and Snuggle Puppy. The rest of his books are pretty random. He LOVES touch and feel books, but he only has Pat the Bunny, Baby Einstein Touch and Feel Baby Animals, and a book called "Little Fish."

LO's favorite t.v. show, stuffed animal, character, type of toy: He doesn't watch TV so no favorite shows or characters, although we don't shy away from our favorite childhood pop-icons...Mickey Mouse, Pooh and friends, anything Nintendo related, and especially old school star wars have all made appearances in his wardrobe or toy box. We prefer toys that don't make electronic noises, most of his noise makers are things like maracas and a toy piano. Melissa and Doug toys rock, but he doesn't have many yet.

Just a M&D shape sorter, but I wish MIL would just send it now, because he would love it, lol! All his other gifts that we are certain on are big ticket things.
6. Family likes (sports, outdoor related events, hunting, etc.): We are big Texans fans, DH is into cycling, and I like cooking and crafting (which I do a little with Gabe from time to time, I can't wait until he is bigger and can do more!) We love local and handmade things.

2. Mostly 9 month clothes here. 12 months I am already stocked up on. As far as shoe size, I have no idea. DS mostly is barefoot or wearing socks. Love colorful things. Please no monkeys (DH hates them).
3. I've recently been buying various hard covered books. No preference for any author. Trying to build up his library.
4. Probably Fisher Price items. DS loves toys that move when you push down or pull back. Thomas the tank engine he seems to really like. DS doesn't care for tv.
5. I already bought a Thomas mini pillow pet and bath toys for his bday. I don't know what my parents or inlaws are getting yet.

fitting 12 and 18 month tops but probably mostly 18 month by August. 12-18 month bottoms. shoes will be 4 by August, but he doesn't wear shoes much and he already has a couple of pairs. no sandals yet though. If there is one thing we actually need in the way of clothes, it would actually be pajamas. It's too hot for any at the time being, but come fall we have jack squat for sleepwear.

3. We have all the Dr. Seuss we need. I love Sandra Boynton and Lucy Cousins, but all we have so far of theirs is "Barnyard Dance" and "Hooray for Fish," respectively.

Sophie is in 12 mo onesies and shirts, 9 month pants, 'cause she's a small fry. I think she's in size 2 shoes. We're pretty set on clothes, but we love jammies, especially 2 pieces ones that she can wear in the fall! Also, we don't have a lot of shoes. My kid goes barefoot almost everywhere. But I think that probably should change, otherwise we'll look trashy, hehe.
